Beatriz Miranda é técnica/assistente de investigação no Grupo da Doutora Mafalda Bourbon (Grupo de Investigação Cardiovascular), no qual atualmente colabora no âmbito do Estudo Português de Hipercolesterolemia Familiar e no Estudo das Dislipidemias monogénicas raras.
Tem um mestrado em Bioquímica Médica pela Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, e uma licenciatura em Biologia Humana pela Universidade de Évora. Desde 2019, é membro do Grupo de Investigação Cardiovascular, no qual desenvolveu a sua dissertação de mestrado “Molecular study of genetic dyslipidemias by Next Generation Sequencing”, em 2020-2021.
Também é membro do Familial Hypercholesterolemia Variant Curation Expert Panel (como biocurator sénior) no Clinical Genome Resource. Adicionalmente, é membro do Biosystems & Integrative Sciences Institute (BioISI), Biomedical and Translation Research Unit (Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal).

Beatriz Miranda is a research technician/assistant at Mafalda Bourbon’s Group (Cardiovascular Research Group) currently collaborating in the Portuguese FH Study and the Study of Rare Monogenic Rare Dyslipidemias.
She hold an MSc degree in Medical Biochemistry from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, and a BSc in Human Biology from the University of Évora. Since 2019 is a member of the laboratory team of Mafalda Bourbon’s Group, where she developed her master thesis project intituled “Molecular study of genetic dyslipidemias by Next Generation Sequencing”, in 2020-2021.
She is also a member of the Familial Hypercholesterolemia Variant Curation Expert Panel (as senior biocurator) at Clinical Genome Resource. Additionally, she is member of the Biosystems & Integrative Sciences Institute (BioISI), Biomedical and Translation Research Unit (University of Lisbon, Portugal).
